This year Allie ran in the Seattle Marathon. It happened to be on Thanksgiving weekend so Mommy decided we should go. Auntie Pam and Uncle Rich met us there too. Daddy and Kevin disappeared a few days while we were there. I wonder where they went?! Waiting for our flight.
We got to Seattle before everyone else so we had some time to waste until we got to see Grandma, Grandpa, Diane, Allie, and Kevin. In the morning we walked to Top Pot Doughnuts for some vacation breakfast.
Then we wandered around.
We ended up at the aquarium.
Look, the diver in the tank took a picture with us.
This picture was up on the outside where we could see the seals.
Inside there was a HUGE tank that had a 2 octopuses. Look at how big this one is! They catch them from near the aquarium so the ones in the tanks are always changing.
That, is octopus POOP!
And those white floating things are the skin from it’s tentacles.
When we left the aquarium we went to Pike’s Place Market to meet everyone. Mommy was on the phone telling them we are right underneath the big sign. They said they were right there too, but we couldn’t find each other. Did you know there are TWO Pike’s Place Market signs?!
We ate at the Crab Pot that night. Look all the adults are wearing bibs! They ordered seafood pots where they just poured the food on the table!
Dessert!
Look at us, we’re dinner!
The next day we had tickets to go up to the top of the Space Needle. Darth Vadar got tired of walking.
On this screen you can fly around and zoom in to see all around you.
The view from the Space Needle
From the Space Needle we could see the super cool park just a little bit away. We went to check it out.
Autumn is climbing up.
The park was so cool that Kevin decided to play too!
Allie, can you hear me? Allie had never seen the talking tubes before!
Autumn, the monkey!
Who has better balance?
Whatcha doin’ Grandma? Are you looking out the window with binoculars? (our hotel pool was being fixed so we had to go to another pool to swim. Grandma was checking on us!)
Fighting stance. Where’s your lightsaber?
We had Thanksgiving turkey dinner at a really good restaurant but no one took any pictures! The next day there was a Macy’s parade down the street. We went down to watch. Mommy and Allie went shopping!
These yummies were from a bakery across from our hotel. You must check out the bakeries if they are that close!
Mom and Allie went back to Pike’s Market to get a coffee at the Original Starbucks.
While we waited for everyone to meet us at the Great Wheel, we watched these people fish for squid.
This was what it looked like while we waited in line.
And this is what it looked like from the top!
We found a store that was doing cookie decorating in the market.
There was Hawaiian music to entertain us!
Mommy and Allie went to do some more walking. We went back to the hotel with Grandma, Grandpa, and Diane, but we got side-tracked at the outdoor merry-go-round. That’s where they found us!
Sometimes on trips, going out to eat all the time is to much work. We called and had japanese food delivered to the hotel!
The reason we were there! Here comes the police escort.
Allie is in blue…can you see her? We stood at the corner by our hotel because she was going to run right past us. Then we went back to the hotel to wait until she was done.
She was tired and cold, but she did it!
