Today was “let our sunburns diminish day”. We started at the pool with Grandpa and the turtle. If you haven’t been following our website for years you don’t know about the turtle. Every year grandpa packs the turtle and brings it to Hawaii where he originally bought it. It survived 4 years before it sprung a leak and died last year. Grandma bought a replacement turtle just for this trip! We’re breaking in the new one.
Later we headed to the beach but then we got hungry and took a break. While we played Allie, Kevin, and Paige went out paddle boarding. Paige was there to help Allie try something new. Allie doesn’t really like the ocean!
There were getting some instructions from the rental guy.
Paddle boards are big!
Off go the girls.
Kevin had to wait on the beach until the girls were settled. Ladies first you know.
Watch out for that wave!
Paige was up first.
Here goes Allie.
Hmmmmmm, Allie is still on her knees. I wonder if she’s going to sit down paddle today?!
Bye, bye Kevin!
Allie is starting to stand up! Right now she looks like and old lady though.
Go, Kevin, go. Catch up with the girls. Wait! You’ll paddle better if your paddle isn’t backwards!
He’s catching up!
After the beach we went and rinsed off in our dipping pool. Bryce got to try out his floaty toy.
Look out! It’s an Autumn fish swimming under you Bryce!
We took a break from the sun and went into town to have Guri-Guri. Did you know that place is closed on Sundays? Oh well, there was a Baskin and Robbins in the mall so that was fine! Then we went to Fun Factory and played games for awhile. Allie played a game where she hit the target and she won the bonus-2000 tickets. After all our games we each got to pick out prizes. There were a few stops at grocery stores and stuff and then we went back to the hotel. While the adults got dinner ready, we went in the dipping pool again and then out to the grass to play.
Mom was being lazy and taking pictures from the deck so it’s a little hard to see us.
Diane and paige were on the grill.
Mmmmmmmm, look at their hard work!
Bryce is holding up the pole.
Just some friendly tag.
Plumeria tree and palm tree.
Collecting flowers for Grandma.
Dinner is served.
After dinner we went to check out what people were doing with flashlights on the beach. Catching crabs of course!
Allie wanted to try out Autumn’s “night vision” goggles.
Kids to bed, lemondrops come out!
