Today we took Jerry for his last fishing trip.  It was a beautiful day at the marina and everyone was properly patched, Seabanded, and Dramamined up in the hopes of no extra chum for the water.  We even had ginger snaps and ginger ale just in case!

This was our transportation for the afternoon.

Almost time to leave.  Everyone waited until the last minute to board.

Say “Hi” to Jerry!  (He’s in the bag)

When I say last minute, these guys were last!  They had a bit of traffic on the way in.

And off we go!  Friends and family for Jerry’s final internment.

Just making sure he was in the bag.

My sister was amazed at how big the waves were behind the boat.

And then by the seagull that seemed to be chasing after us!

Alcatraz!  Mom says we can go there on another visit.

We were told this was Jerry’s “spot” on the boat.

IMG_1909

Hey?  You guys doing ok over there?  That’s Jerry’s spot, don’t make a mess!

Here comes the Golden Gate Bridge.

IMG_1916

Here’s where the waves got bigger and the fog rolled in.  Autumn was getting braver and wanted to stand up to see things.

Allie is still smiling!  (That means no barfies yet)

A couple pictures as we went under the bridge.

Howard thanked everyone for coming out with us.

While it’s sad to say goodbye to someone, this wasn’t a sad day.  We put Jerry where he wanted to be. May he bring good fishing to all his friends in the future!

The ride in seemed to be smoother and we went outside again.  We watched for whales because last week there were whales in the channel, but no luck for us.  We did see dolphins and sea lions though.

Bye Jerry, we love you!
