It was another week of “firsts” for me.  No-I didn’t learn to crawl yet.  This week was my first cold and first fever.  My grandma usually watches me, but she went to Hawaii so Mom and Dad had already worked out a plan to watch me this week.  But I got them!  I got sick and couldn’t go to daycare so they had to scramble to be able to watch me ALL week.  Dad stayed home 1/2 of Monday and Thursday, and Mom stayed home the other 1/2 of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  It was great staying home with them all week, but being sick is not fun.  My nose ran like a faucet for a few days, then it got so stuffy I couldn’t breathe.  I still have a humidifier in my room and 2 of the legs of my crib are on phone books so that my bed is at an angle.  My fever would get up to 103.5, and I was cranky and clingy.  Everything made me cry and I didn’t feel like eating.  Have you ever tried to drink a bottle with a stuffy nose?  Let me tell you-it is not easy!  Mom took a couple of pictures of me on one of my getting better days.  There’s no pictures from my sick days because I wouldn’t let them put me down-ever!

I’m much better now.  Last night I went to play with uncle Howard and today Mom and I went out and about all day.  By the way-I’m really working on my crawling, but standing up is so much better!

I’m 9 months now.  The doctor said I was 21 lbs. and 24 inches long.  Since I’m nine months I decided I should start working on crawling.  I’m getting sooooo close.

Grandpa and I read my book after dinner.  I really like this book.  I sit and read it to myself sometimes.

I had a great weekend! On Friday I went to Bocce with Mom and visited with her teacher friends. You should have seen all the balls they got to play with! They were to heavy for me, so I just watched.
Saturday Mom and Dad went out to dinner in the city. I went to Grandma’s and played with her and Auntie Diane until Uncle Jeffrey and Auntie Caitlin got there. Auntie Caitlin bought me a new toy-a train with animals and it makes noise and moves too!  Since Mom and Dad were so late I got to have my first sleepover all by myself.  Jeff and Caitlin got a taste of being parents.
On Sunday I watched the Broncos with Dad. We wore our special clothes but it didn’t help this week. Maybe next week it will be better.

After the game we all went for a walk to the park. I got to play on the swing again-I love the swing!

Do I really get to go to the park?

Alright!  Let’s go.

Can we take this hat off first?

Ok, I know.  It’s good for my skin to wear my hat.  Let’s go!

I was practicing my crawling tonight.  Can you find me on my play mat?  Nope?-that’s because I’m not there.  I’m way over by my playpen.  I’m doing really good going backwards, but it doesn’t get me where I want to go.

Today I picked up my bread and ate it all by myself.  Mom has been trying to get me to to do this for awhile, but I just figured it out.  This eating stuff is way cool.

And here I am playing in the tub.  I’m really good at splashing.
