Monday we went to breakfast at Kihei Cafe.  We waited patiently for our food to come.

Grandma had banana mac nut pancakes.  Her pile was huge!

Mom had homemade corned beef hash and eggs.

IMG_4875

Autumn had a whale pancake.

IMG_4876

I had a teddy bear one!

IMG_4877

Autumn was done, but then she decided to have just a little more!  Use a fork!

IMG_4878

After breakfast we walked around some little shops.  We sat here and waited for the adults.

IMG_4879

Later we decided to do some shopping too.  We all got special Hawaii backpacks to carry stuff and the girls got hair clips.

IMG_4881

After eating and shopping we headed back to the pool for some sun time.  Autumn and I had a post swim snack on the lanai.

Monday night we played at the beach while Jeff, Cait, Ry, and Bryce were having their pictures taken.

We would dig a hole and wait for a wave to fill it.  That wet sand was “sand glue”!

Grandpa wrote our names in the sand.

Tuesday was our last day to play in Hawaii.  We started the morning down at the beach and went on a kayak ride.  I rode with Grandpa, Autumn rode with Mom, and Ryland went with Jeff and Cait.  The adults paddled and we enjoyed the ride!  The water was so clear we could see all the way to the bottom!  We saw fish, coral, and at the end of the trip we saw a turtle at the surface!  It was awesome!  To bad no one brought a camera out on the boats.

Bryce came down to the beach after we rode the Kayaks.  He hung out with Mom.

Grandpa and I went up to the pool because our chairs weren’t going to be saved for very much longer.  The kids stayed down at the beach.  When they finally came up to the pool I was getting ready to eat lunch.  This was my own picnic!

IMG_9598

The kids got lunch too.  This was their banana dog with PB&J!

Look at Ry’s hand!

IMG_9603

That’s one way to clean it!

IMG_9605

Autumn tried another way of eating hers.

Autumn had a little snack in the room-her leftover pancakes, again, no fork!

This sand spot was at the hotel we went to for dinner.  A beach inside!

After a yummy dinner we stopped to listen to the music again.  We only heard a couple songs before he was finished.  I got to dance with Grandpa.

It’s really hard to post pictures from Saturday and Sunday when Mom leaves the card to her camera in her computer.  She found a few old ones on her phone.

This was Wednesday night on Kauai.  We were down by the beach watching the torch lighting ceremony.  At the end of the dance it started raining.  We learned that in Kauai it rains a lot and usually stops pretty quickly so we kinda hid under a tree.  BUT then it kept raining REALLY hard.  We were all soaking wet.  Mom thought maybe we went swimming we were so wet!

IMG_4855 IMG_4856 IMG_4857 IMG_4858 IMG_4859 IMG_4860 IMG_4861 IMG_4865

Up in the room after we dried off, Bryce was holding Autumn’s Dog-Dog.  She didn’t even mind.

IMG_4862

These were a couple pictures of the Tahitian dancers.

IMG_4863 IMG_4864

And us learning some moves.

IMG_4866

And then she took some pictures from Jeffrey.

We went to Lahaina for dinner.  The first place we tried was closed so we ate at Zushi.  The same lady takes your order, cooks, and knocks on the window when your food is done.  It was yummy!  We walked around to make space for dessert.

JTL_7209 JTL_7215

Then we drove to Leoda’s to try their pie.  It was almost closing so there was only apple and coconut cream.  They were yummy too!  We waited in the car for Mom to buy them and had turned on our interior lights.  When it was time to go, my light wouldn’t turn off.  Mom was worried the car battery would die so we ended up at the airport to get a new car.  It was 9:30pm before we got back to the hotel and had our pie!

Sunday we had breakfast with Grandpa at the buffet, reserved some pool chairs, and beach umbrellas.  Then we went up to change.  Mom and Grandpa snorkeled and saw a few fish, Jeff and Grandpa went to a different place and saw 5 turtles!

JTL_7204

Then we headed up to the pool.  Ry let us try our his snorkel and mask.  We both did good with it and had fun in the pool.  We aren’t quite ready for the ocean yet.

JTL_7254 JTL_7261

Autumn and Ry were playing rescue the turtle.

JTL_7264 JTL_7265

I had extra turns using the snorkel.

Lunch time!

JTL_7278 JTL_7279 JTL_7288 JTL_7289

A little more pool time, then we got shaved ice.  The man was selling them right behind our chairs.

Tonight we’ll go to Da Kitchen for dinner.

JTL_7306

After dinner we went to walk around the shops and have special treat.

JTL_7315

JTL_7318

Autumn’s silly smile!

JTL_7325 JTL_7327

My dirty face!

JTL_7328

Back at the hotel the adults listened to the man in the bar while the kids danced to his music.  I took a little break from the moves.

JTL_7334

Thursday was our last full day on Kauai.  We had a lazy start to the day, then we headed down to the beach. Our frisbee’s helped protect our sand buildings from small waves.

IMG_9526 IMG_9531 IMG_9532 IMG_9533 IMG_9534

Aunty Cait took me out into the ocean past the waves.  I was super scared but I had fun.  Later we all went out there with some floating toys and an adult for each of us.

IMG_9538 IMG_9540

Autumn and Grandpa went to the pool, but Auntie Cait, Ryland, Mom and I headed back to the snow cone place.  This time Mom remembered to take a picture of her rootbeer float snow cone before she ate it!

IMG_4844

When we got back to the hotel it was time to go and make a real flower lei.

First we had to take the stems off the flowers.

IMG_9542 IMG_9543

We had huge needles that we had to poke through the orchid and slide down on the string (which was dental floss!)

IMG_4843 IMG_9545IMG_9546IMG_9547IMG_9548IMG_9549IMG_9550IMG_9551IMG_9552

Finished products!

IMG_9555 IMG_9559

After some rest for Autumn and pool time for me we went to the Poipu shopping center to watch some Tahitian dancers.  We got to go on stage and learn some moves and take a picture after they were done.  You should see how fast their hips move!

JTL_7065 JTL_7070 JTL_7071 JTL_7073

Then we went and had dinner at Roy’s!  Yummy!

IMG_4847

Friday meant we were leaving Kauai, but heading to Maui.  We did some exploring of the hotel before we went to dinner at Coconut Fish Cafe.  They have yummy fish taco’s that the adults wanted to eat.

This was the beach in front of the hotel.

IMG_4850

The kids were checking out the fountain in the lobby.

JTL_7106 JTL_7107

Autumn was being silly and squishing Mom.

JTL_7110

After we got back from dinner we stopped at the lawn where they had some games you could play.

IMG_9560 IMG_9562 IMG_9563

What are those Uncle Jeffrey?

IMG_9566

We didn’t know how to play this, but it was fun to throw the balls at the stand!

IMG_9569 IMG_9571

Autumn spun hers around.

IMG_9573 IMG_9575

Then we had some gelato, then headed down towards the path to go frog hunting.  It was a little early so we stopped and played at the water’s edge for a bit.  Mom stopped for a sunset picture.

IMG_9576

Group picture!

IMG_9582

Mom thought it’d be funny if we kissed Autumn.  You can tell how happy she was about that!

IMG_9583 IMG_9584 IMG_9585 IMG_9586

She tried to catch our glow wands “glowing”.  Kinda worked.

IMG_9587 IMG_9589 IMG_9591 IMG_9592

Uncle Jeffrey got a couple good ones!

JTL_7185 JTL_7193 JTL_7195

A couple of years ago Auntie Pony told us that if you walk around at night the frogs hang out all over.  We are either coming at the wrong time of year, or we go out to early because we have to work really hard to see them.  Autumn and Mom had a huge scare while they were walking back.  I big bird flew at them, hit the wall, and scurried into the bushes.  It made Autumn cry, and Mom said it scared her too!
