Check out these pearly whites! When I turned 5 months my first tooth popped out. Then a week and a half later the second came. I wonder how long it will take until the ones on top come? Mom says that if I bite her it’s the bottle for me, so I’m being very careful.

Since I’ve gotten much better at eating rice cereal I get to have sweet potatoes. Boy are those yummy! If mom only puts the rice on the spoon I spit it back out. Doesn’t she know a growing kid needs her vegetables?! She says in a few days I’ll try something called carrots. Are they any good?

Dad-I can’t eat when you put the bib ON my mouth!

Last weekend I went to Kansas to see my Auntie Devon graduate from Law School. It was a trip with a lot of “firsts”. It was the first time on an airplane, first time to meet Great-Grandma Nane, Great-Grandpa Papa, Aunt Eileen, Uncle Henry, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Dave, Cousin Kelly, and Cousin Scott.

First I went to Denver. At the airport we had to wait 3 hours, so here I am waiting patiently. Couldn’t someone wipe my face before you took a picture?

Nane and Papa were on the same flight, so I got to meet them first. Here’s Uncle Dave.

Auntie Devon bought me a special KU dress to wear for the graduation.

Here she is getting hooded, and lots of pictures after it was all done. Did I mention that I was super good for the whole graduation?

Dad kept calling her Dr. Booger because of some story from before I was born. I’ll have to ask her about that later. I think he was trying to demonstrate.

Later, I went swimming at the hotel.

Here we are at Jack Stack’s for dinner. We couldn’t go to Kansas without having Kansas BBQ! (Well, I had it second hand after Mommy ate it.)

I got a present from Nane and Papa. See me opening it with Daddy. He even read it to me!

When I first met Scott and Kelly, they didn’t know what to do with me. Scott got really good-see how much fun we’re having together!

Mom and Dad said I did really good on my first trip. I think if I keep this up Dad might take me to Hawaii next summer. I’ll keep my fingers crossed! (when I learn how to control them)

Yesterday was very exciting. Grandma came over and we tried ice together. She was trying to make my gums feel better because there’s a tooth coming sometime.

Later, at night, Mom and Dad let me practice eating. I tried rice cereal, but I still need to practice swallowing. My tongue just keeps pushing the stuff out instead of making it go down!
