Category: Autumn

We have been busy these last few days.  Friday Mom, Grandma, Grandpa, Autumn, and I went to Capitola.  Saturday after house chores and a nap Mom, Dad, Autumn, and I went to Shoreline park.  Today we went to Monterey to the Aquarium!  First I’ll show you pictures from the beach.

First, I showed Autumn the ocean.

When I first started playing I wasn’t sure I liked touching the sand.  See how clean I’m staying.

I got over that quickly.

Autumn, try the sand!

It was very bright and sunny.  We started with this towel and then grandpa got the rain umbrella from the car.

One of the best parts about being the oldest is I can get Grandpa to do anything I want. (most of the time)  It was taking too much time to fill the cup and then pout it out, so I had Grandpa do the filling.

Careful, don’t spill.

And pour-

Here I am at the end of the day-sandy, wet, and wiped out!  Autumn was tired too!

Sunday

Here we go!

We usually start at the Jellyfish and Outer Bay fish tank.  This was the first time the aquarium was sooo empty that I could walk right up to the windows.  It was great to be so close to the displays and touch the buttons.  In the big tank I saw sharks, barracudas, stingrays, tuna, and a sun fish.  We also got to watch them eat!

Next we went to the Flippers and Fins kid section.

Inside I saw people swimming in the fish tank, touches a star fish and kelp, and saw more fish swimming around.  There’s one spot where the wave washed over you if you’re in the tunnel-I don’t like being inside that tunnel, but I love to go outside and watch.  Outside Autumn had lunch and Dad and I went to see the sea lions or were they seals?

Snack anyone?

Hi birdie!

Daddy and me

Daddy and his girls

After this I don’t remember much.  I was ready for a nap.  Mom says they got a sandwich, and then took a drive to Cypress Point on 17 mile drive, but the point was closed so they kept on driving home.

Here’s Autumn’s 5 month picture.  Can you believe that it’s been that long already? She can hold and shake her rattle all by herself.

Last week Dad went to Chicago for work training, so it was just us girls at home.  One night Mom had Open House at school so she had to go get ready without any back-up support.  Autumn was sleeping and she left me in the highchair with my cereal and Chuggington.  I decided I was done and since she didn’t come down on demand I started playing the drums with my spoon.  Boy did Mom flip when she came downstairs.  I kept telling her I wanted down, but instead she grabbed her camera and took a few pictures, then cleaned up the mild from the floor, and THEN she let me down.  What’s the big deal?!

Yesterday I didn’t take a nap so Mom said I couldn’t watch any tv.  I had to find other ways to entertain myself.  I decided to brush Autumn’s hair.  If you take note above, she doesn’t have much, so that activity didn’t last very long-and Mom wouldn’t give me a ponytail holder to use either.

Chillin’ on the floor

These are from the day i got sent home from daycare for being sick.  Grandma picked me up until Mom could get her sub stuff lined up.  Do I look sick to you?!

This was Autumn the night that she cried and cried and cried, and nobody knew why.  She finally fell alseep while Daddy carried her.

This was me the day I wouldn’t take a nap.  Mom tricked me and I fell asleep in their bed.  Mom says when I’m sleeping I can look sooooo angelic.  But I always wake up!

Mom is a little behind, as usual, but here are some pictures from our Easter in Denver.  When we woke up it was a little to cold to find eggs outside so we did it inside.  First I found a basket with goodies in it for me and then I found one for Autumn.  Later someone hid the eggs around the family room for me to find.  I wanted to keep looking for them, but I couldn’t wait long enough for someone to hide them so it became a game of “chase whoever would hide the eggs for me, and find them as we went!”

I decorated eggs while Mom and Dad were out looking at houses.  Uncle Jeffrey is bringing up some more pictures  this weekend for mom to put on.

See the basket hiding under there?

I found it!

This one at a time thing takes to long.  There’s gotta be a faster way to see all this stuff!

Here’s yours Autumn.  See the light up egg?

Stickers!  hey look, these eggs have thing inside, not like the slimy cooked egg mom tried to give me.  I am now a jelly bean lover.

Can you see any eggs hiding?

Here I come!

Can somebody get that yellow one?  i don’t want to touch the prickly tree.

Ryland, I hid some eggs for you.  Can you see them?

Here, let me help you.  I’ll put them in your carseat for you.
