Look at me! I’m so big, I get to eat in a chair now. Today I had peas and oatmeal for lunch. Mom let me play with the bowl after I finished. So far I like rice, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, peas, and bananas. I don’t really like pears though. Mom says next time we go to the store she’s going to get me some Cheerios. But she said if I want to eat those I have to feed myself.

Last week it was really hot in San Jose. Dad and I tried to stay cool by taking off our shirts. I tried to share his lemonade, but I couldn’t figure out how to get it out of the can.

Today Mom and I went to Trader Joe’s to pick up a few things. She needed both hands so she put me in the front of the big metal noisy thing. I usually ride in the big basket in my carseat, but today I practiced sitting up in the front. I did pretty good-didn’t tip over or anything.

Later on we went up to Great Grandma’s house for dinner. Dad wanted to practice hitting some golf balls at the short range place so that he can beat Uncle Mark when he plays with him this weekend. I drank some water from a big people cup. I’m still trying to figure out how to get water out of my sippy cup.

Auntie Diane must have gotten this cup. It’s a little hard to read backwards through the cup, but I think it says Harrah’s 50th Anniversary. That’s one of those places she goes to lose money-I mean, try and win money!

Today is my 1/2 birthday. I turned 6 months today. Mom took my picture sitting up, I ate pears for the first time with Cousin Allison, and I practiced with my sippy cup. Now that I’m 6 months I’m learning lots of stuff.

Here I am after my first bite of pears. I think carrots and sweet potatoes are better tasting.

She said open wide-but I thought I was supposed to do that?!

I’m practicing with my sippy cup. No one said using my hands to pick things up was so much work.
