Ryland turned 1 on 2/10/11! We celebrated his birthday with pasta and cake. Boy did he LIKE cake!
Mom and Jeff weren’t supposed to wear cake, but uncle Jeffrey still smashed some in Mommy’s face!
When we fly on the airplane Mom and Dad call it an adventure. In January we went on an adventure to San Antonio. While Mom worked, and Dad went golfing we all played with Alicia.
This was Autumn wearing her CARES harness for flying. It goes over the seat and has straps that hold her in better than the seatbelt.
One night we walked to see the Alamo. It was closing so we only saw the outside.
Alicia was taking pictures, but in this one she doesn’t look like she knows how to use her camera.
The last day we drove to Austin to check things out. Here’s where we had lunch.
Then we went to the capitol building.
We saw this in a store we stopped in. Mommy laughed and took a picture-what does it say?
Here’s a park adventure. This was in Colorado, not Texas! Autumn really likes to play on these.
I showed her how to do it.
Watch me do it Autumn!
When you live in Colorado, you have to have warm things to wear. These are the hats Alicia gave us for Christmas.
Did you know at the stock show you can see all kinds of animals? We saw cows, horses, bulls, chickens, rabbits, roosters, bunnies, and ponies. Last weekend we went out in the snow to the Stock show. I thought we were going to the zoo, so I was surprised by this place. Mom bought us horsey clothes because I really like my horse pants, so we wore our horse clothes to the show. Mom almost bought cowboy boots, but she decided it would be better to buy them from a store.
First we went down to where the big animals were. It was stinky down there! You can’t tell, but these bulls where gianormous! Mommy petted the white one, she said it was really soft.
And can you see how big the horns are on the brown one?
Next we went upstairs to the petting farm. I still don’t like animals that are bigger than me, but I pet a few. Autumn kept calling all the animals dog-dog.
I liked to look at the donkey.
After the petting Zoo we went upstairs to see the kids section. I went nuts when I saw the ponies. Last time I wanted to ride them, it got to be my turn and I cried and didn’t go. So this time we watched them go around with kids and I still wanted to go.
This is Dolly.
I got to ride her. She was the only black one there.
At first Daddy held my hand and walked with me, but them I got brave and did it by myself.
Before we left we saw the cows.
By the time we left it was snowing really hard.
