Mom, Autumn, Grandma Doyle, and I went to a pumpkin festival a couple of weekends ago.  Daddy had to stay home because he was sick.  They had lots of things for kids to do, shops for mom, rides, and food.  We didn’t get to see all the things because it started to rain.

First I made a popcorn and candy monster hand.

Next we made a bag to hold treats I got.  The stickers didn’t stick that well and the pieces kept falling off.

We went to the cookie stall and I got to decorate a cookie with food coloring pens.

Later we walked to the pumpkin patch to find a pumpkin.  Autumn got one too.  We got a bag of stickers for each pumpkin so that we could decorate them at home.

It was a fun day!  I hope we get to go to another pumpkin patch to get more pumpkins!

I turned 11 months on Oct. 10th.  On the 9th mom tried to take my picture.  She says it’s harder now because I don’t sit still.

Here’s the best one she could get.

This is me playing on the big rock.

Here’s the classic Autumn monster face!

On Saturday we went to Georgetown in the mountains.  The adults wanted to see the aspens changing colors and they found a cool train ride for us to take.  We drove to Georgetown, and then rode the train on the loop to Sliver Plume.  It was a track that they used in the mining days to transport silver from one place to another.  Since the grade was so steep, they had to make it a loop to get there.  On the way back we stopped and got off the train to go to a little pumpkin festival.  I got to decorate a pumpkin, get my face painted, do a scavenger hunt (I got a prize for that!), and have some treats!

This was one of those trees the adults wanted to see.  I don’t get the big deal-the leaves are yellow, so were the leaves on lots of trees!

This was Clear Creek running under the bridge at the Devil’s Gate Station.  See the big bridge in the background?  We went on that!

We’re at the station in Georgetown.

Say cheese!  (or look the other way Autumn, while I scowl)

Ryland, say cheese!

Or maybe you should say Cheerio-chocolate that is.

This picture has the water, trees with yellow leaves, trees with green leaves, and dead trees.  Dad says there’s a beetle that is killing the trees.

Here’s the big bridge again.

Having a snack in Silver Plume.

Pumpkin festival!

Pumpkins and babies!!!

You can’t really see it, but historic Georgetown is in this picture.

On the way home all the kids took a nap.  The adults drove a different way home and saw Breckenridge, Fairplay, and drove on 285.
