Today we took Jerry for his last fishing trip.  It was a beautiful day at the marina and everyone was properly patched, Seabanded, and Dramamined up in the hopes of no extra chum for the water.  We even had ginger snaps and ginger ale just in case!

This was our transportation for the afternoon.

Almost time to leave.  Everyone waited until the last minute to board.

Say “Hi” to Jerry!  (He’s in the bag)

IMG_1888

When I say last minute, these guys were last!  They had a bit of traffic on the way in.

Mom exploring the boat.

And off we go!  Friends and family for Jerry’s final internment.

Just making sure he was in the bag.

My sister was amazed at how big the waves were behind the boat.

IMG_1903

And then by the seagull that seemed to be chasing after us!

IMG_1906

Alcatraz!  Mom says we can go there on another visit.

San Francisco

We were told this was Jerry’s “spot” on the boat.

IMG_1909

Hey?  You guys doing ok over there?  That’s Jerry’s spot, don’t make a mess!

IMG_1918

Here comes the Golden Gate Bridge.

IMG_1916

Here’s where the waves got bigger and the fog rolled in.  Autumn was getting braver and wanted to stand up to see things.

IMG_1919 IMG_1921

Allie is still smiling!  (That means no barfies yet)

IMG_1922

A couple pictures as we went under the bridge.

IMG_1923 IMG_1924

Howard thanked everyone for coming out with us.

IMG_1926 IMG_1927

While it’s sad to say goodbye to someone, this wasn’t a sad day.  We put Jerry where he wanted to be. May he bring good fishing to all his friends in the future!

Autumn and I on the ride back.

IMG_1952 IMG_1951

The ride in seemed to be smoother and we went outside again.  We watched for whales because last week there were whales in the channel, but no luck for us.  We did see dolphins and sea lions though.

Bye Jerry, we love you!

Day 14

It’s our last full day in Hawaii.  Grandma wanted to try a place called Tip Top Cafe.  The pancakes were yummy.  I sat really close to Grandpa though.  Right after we sat down a bug crawled up on the chair.  Grandpa swatted it away, but I didn’t want to move over after that!

There was more beach and pool time today.  Mom didn’t bother really taking any pictures.  Our days kinda go like: eat breakfast, go down to the beach/pool, spend 4-5 hours there, then go up to the room for showers and hang out until we leave for dinner.  Eat dinner, have dessert, go back to the hotel, play and then go to bed.  Wake up and repeat.

Tonight we had dinner at Lava Lava Cafe.  You sit in table that are on the sand!

The ocean was right there too!

IMG_9049

While we ate there was live music and a lady who danced the hula.  Bryce stood and watched her without blinking!  (Can you see him?)

IMG_9051

We had so much fun watching and she thought we were really cute so they did an impromptu hula lesson.  Bryce tried for a little bit, but then he got shy.

IMG_9053

The dance was the hukilau.  We had learned it at our hula class at the hotel!

IMG_9055

Bryce was pretending Autumn was his baby and he was holding her.

Just a little beach picture.

IMG_9057

Sister time!

Day 13

Today we took a walk down the path the the Beach Hut for breakfast.  Eggs, bacon, and hash browns for Autumn and sweet bread french toast for me.

IMG_9023 IMG_9025

Grandpa went for the loco moco.

IMG_9026

After breakfast we headed back to the hotel for beach and pool time.  These last few days I spent a lot of time with Grandpa at the pool while Autumn hung out with Bryce and Ry at the beach.  Have I ever told you Autumn really hates the sand on her feet?  Well, she does. But today, she let uncle Jeffrey bury her!

IMG_4640 IMG_4639

She even liked it!  A little bucket head.

IMG_4638

Or bucket…

IMG_4637

After Ry had a turn being buried, then they both went off to the ocean to rinse off.

IMG_4643 IMG_4644

For dinner we went to Keoki’s in Poipu.  The adults said it was good, but it wasn’t Roy’s.  We hit Uncle’s Shave Ice and Lappert’s for dessert after.

A Poipu sunset.
