This has been one strange set of days.  On Thursday we woke up early to go on an airplane.  Daddy took us to the airport and Grandma came with us.  We flew on the plane and when we got off Auntie Caitlin was there to pick us up.  (Usually when we see them we drive in a car to their house.)  We drive to the house Mommy keeps calling our “new house” and Jeffrey, Kala, and Tucker are there.  This isn’t the house that we usually go to when we see them!  Later Grandma Doyle shows up!  I’m so confused-we usually go on a plane to see her, but this time she drove her car.  Then, I go into “my room” and there is my bed from my other house.  Autumn’s bed is in there too.  Our room is very colorful-blue, green, red, and yellow walls and all of our stuff is purple and pink.

Everyone was busy unpacking boxes and stuff so I just played with Grandma or whoever will play with me.  Autumn learned to crawl up the one step so she follows me around.  There’s this neat room that Mom keeps calling the toy room where all the toys keep going.  I do my best to bring them out, but some how they keep ending up inside there.  Did you know that there are 2 pianos at the house?!  I can play either one when the babies aren’t sleeping.

Check this out-the next day, after my nap, Daddy shows up driving Mom’s car!  It’s full of all kinds of stuff too.  My art easel, more toys, high chair, strollers, and lots more.  I think we’re staying here for awhile.  I like to play outside in the grass, and Grandma Doyle took me swimming at her house yesterday.  (Autumn didn’t go because only “big girls” got to go)  The only bad thing is the dogs.  I’m trying to learn not to leave my snacks around because they keep eating them, and yesterday Kala scared me when I was going up the stairs so I tumbled all the way down to the bottom.  Luckily grandma was there and caught me before I hit the floor and I didn’t get hurt.

This weekend was really busy.  Uncle Jeffrey says Mommy must be doing a “California Bucket List” whatever that means!  Saturday Grandpa went with us to the California Academy of Science.  Daddy says that it’s the coolest museum he’s ever been to.  Mommy didn’t take many pictures because we were too busy looking at everything.  These pictures are on the “living roof”.  They made it so that the roof has solar panels, and plants that can live and grow on the roof.  That way scientists can learn about plants right on the building.  Inside there was a tropical aquariums, California coast aquariums, and this self enclosed rain forest dome.  Inside there it was like walking in a real rain forest (without the snakes hanging around) as you walked to the canopy there were birds and butterflies flying around the space.

Grandpa and I played a little after we ate lunch.  I took the tan bark and put it all around the seal.  Now I’m wiping it off!  (what did you think I was doing?!)

Today we went down to Monterey to place at the Dennis the Menace playground and go to the beach.  Mom wanted to go to the wharf to get some clam chowder but us kids were to wiped out to make another stop.  Guess she’ll have to wait for another trip.  We only stayed at the park for a short time because I really wanted to go to the beach.  Mom forgot my shovel and bucket so Dad stopped at the store and bought this bucket full of chips and stuff.  It even had a shovel!

Autumn wasn’t as impressed with all the playground stuff!

Dad and I were trying to figure out how to get water in my bucket.  I don’t like to touch the water and Daddy didn’t want to get wet.  We decided to let Mommy get the water!

Mom took Autumn out to meet the Pacific Ocean.  She didn’t really like it or the sand very much.

This man was taking his dog out for a ride.  The dog had a special lifejacket on so that he would float.  he carries the dog out to the water and then puts him on the board.  The man would stand and paddle around.

After awhile I started to put sand on my legs.  Mommy helped me get all covered up!

Here come my feet!

And my hands!

All out!

Look at how sandy I am!

Mom brought extra clothes to change into.  I escaped the clothes changing station!

Saturday Grandma and Grandpa had a “Moving to Denver” lunch for us.  Auntie Pony bought us these matching dresses.  Mommy is hoping that someone will post some pictures from the lunch because she didn’t have her camera for that part,  but we took these when we came home.
