Today we had another adventure up to the mountains. We started off the morning at Trompeau bakery. I got a cherry croissant, Autumn got an apple one, Mom had a blueberry chocolate, and Dad had a lemon blueberry. Mom and dad said they were yummy, we didn’t eat ours. Mom says she’ll eat them later! We also got a french baguette for snacks later.
Then we stopped in Evergreen at Dandelion Cafe. Dad worked with the man who owns it. Autumn was hungry and grouchy by then so we shared some eggs, bacon, and toast.
Then we were off to Kittredge to go and play. While Mom put hooks and bobbers on our new fishing poles we tested out the water. Did you know they made Barbie and Princess fishing poles?
We learned how to cast all by ourselves.
Autumns said “Look, I did it!”
Watch Autumn show you how she casts.
One time I casted so far it went across the creek! I even caught a “bush” fish!
We didn’t catch any fish this time, but we got good practice. (Maybe it was because we didn’t have any bait on our hooks. Apparently the place we were at didn’t allow the fish eggs that we brought)
Next it was off to the playground. Autumn’s shorts got all wet so she just took them off.
I showed Autumn how I could pump my legs and do it myself!
Playing on the playground didn’t last very long. An ice cream man drove his truck right to the park and we took off for that treat!
I got a chocolate and vanilla cone. Autumn got a Sponge Bob Popsicle.
When she was done eating hers, she shared it with Dad and helped me eat mine.
Dad brought a couple balls so before we left we kicked the ball around the grass.
Autumn takes a big running start to kick hers!
Oops, it went sideways!
This is how you stop the ball.
All done!
