Tuesday we walked downstairs to get Grandma her coffee in our pajamas! Then we came upstairs and got dressed. We went to a kids lei making class. They were made of foam, so they will last forever!
Then we met Ryland downstairs to feed the fish. There are sooooooo many fish!
Some fish even come mostly out of the water to get the food on the step! When they use their tail to get back in the water it makes a big splash.
We each had a cup of food to throw at the fish.
Even Grandpa fed them!
Later we went upstairs to get ready to go to the beach. It was only 9:15am after we fed the fish. Autumn had one of her guava Kauai Kookies. Do you see how small it is? It took her 6 bites to eat that!
Beach time!
We walked to the Kalapaki Beach Hut for hamburger lunch. They also sell snow cones there! Autumn decided that this snow cone was better because it wasn’t crunchy. She shared a root beer float one with Mom. It had vanilla ice cream in the middle and some sweet cream on top. I had a rainbow one of cherry, banana, and blue raspberry.
After nap/rest time we went and had dinner at Kilauea Fish Market. I had a ono fish taco fried in mochi batter. It was super yummy! Uncle Jeffrey tried to explain how he likes poke, but doesn’t eat sashimi. Even the man working at the restaurant laughed at him! We had Lappert’s ice cream to celebrate baby Bryce turning 2 months.
Wednesday morning we tried the Bamboo restaurant for breakfast. I had a banana pancake and Autumn had a blueberry one. We collected a few flowers on the walk back. Then we had a seat on the lions to wait while Grandpa filled up Grandma’s coffee cup.
We rested in the room for awhile, then got ready for the beach. Uncle Jeffrey took pictures at the beach. Autumn doesn’t really like to have sand on her. But she still likes to play in it!
We played for awhile at the edge of the ocean. I was having fun jumping over the waves and pretending they were knocking me down. Really, I was falling on my butt myself.
Until this wave! I “fell” and then got hit by another one. Boy did I take a tumble!
There was soooooo much sand. Even after hours of playing in the pool there was a ton of sand in my hair. That little tumble didn’t deter me.
The kids went upstairs to rest but Grandpa, Mom and I stayed down at the pool. I got to have a mango smoothie since Mom had a strawberry drink I couldn’t have.
Here are a few pictures that Uncle Jeffrey took from earlier days. Mom just added them here.
